Berto a victim of cross-contamination?

I checked my Instagram account and I see that Andre Berto’s sister had something to say referring to a picture I posted of her brother a week ago. We’ve all heard about the whole Berto/steroids fiasco and once the word got out all the media sites were making him out to be the bad guy because usually in these cases when someone has tested positive for a banned substance, it has been used for performance enhancing. But according to Revelina (Berto’s sister) all of this was a result of cross-contamination. I also have heard from other sports media outlets that the amount of nandrolone (the substance found in Berto’s system) that was found was so minuscule that it couldn’t have been used for any performance enhancing.

I do believe Revelina, but all I want to know is why they had to cancel the match with him and Victor Ortiz? Couldn’t they have simply figured all this out and instead of giving that fight to Josesito Lopez and get to the bottom of the situation? A lot of people were looking forward to this fight since February. It would be a shame to not get the fight we wanted because of a fallacy…. right?

What do you think? If Berto was a victim of cross-contamination would you have still wanted to see him fight Victor Ortiz?
